Why we built it
Processing electrochemical data takes more effort than it should. Every potentiostat exports a different file, every analysis lives in a different spreadsheet, and every figure is rebuilt by hand before submission. We have put a great deal of effort into this for our own papers and theses, and Anayasa is the tool we wished we had.
The name
Anayasa comes from the Sanskrit anāyāsa, formed from an, meaning without, and āyāsa, meaning effort or exertion. It means effortless, which is how analysing electrochemical data should feel.
What stands out
Ease is the whole point. Drop in the raw files, and Anayasa handles the conversions, extracts the numbers, and lays out the figure, so the effort goes into the science and not into the spreadsheet.
What it does
- Reads CSV data from any potentiostat
- Peak currents and peak potentials from voltammograms
- Tafel slopes and corrosion rates
- Scan-rate analysis with linear fits, for the electroactive area
- Calibration curves with detection and quantification limits, for SWV and DPV
- Charge and discharge curves for energy storage
- Multi-panel figures in flexible layouts, with journal figure-size presets

Status
Anayasa is in development and runs on Windows. We plan to release it as free software with an installer, and to describe it in a software paper.
